Anahita Nayebi

"In 2017, I got to perform on stage for the first time.  I cried as soon as I started performing, my body was shaking and I was a bit nervous in the beginning, but after a few seconds I forgot about everything and enjoyed every second of it, I felt free."

Farima Kahnamoei

"All arts are interlinked...I write a manifest and it turns into a dance.. then that dance turns into acting. There is no right or wrong. You’re a robot if you follow the standards. Art is about having no limits and boundaries. It’s about being free."

Hourasa

"My real career in dance started in 2017 after immigrating to Canada. I got the opportunity to perform in a few festivals and dance films and chose dance as my career. One of the most important things in my choreographies is the use of Persian music and symbols."

Riza

"I started dance in high school when I was 16. I got interested in popping at first but after a few years I wanted to try and learn other dance styles. My main focus now are hip hop and contemporary. I’m not afraid of challenging myself and my goal in my choreography is to get creative and create something unique."

Angel

"I come from Isfahan from a religious family and city. My family abandoned me after I pursued a career in dance, and they left me with zero support and no money. I started working and saving money to survive and take dance classes. It’s been two years since I’ve moved to Tehran and started living alone. And all I want to say is, girls don’t need approval from their family or anybody, if they have a goal they should depend on themselves and work hard to achieve it."

Leila

"I am mostly trained in Reggaeton and Latin Trap. I also dance Bachata and Salsa but they’re not my area of expertise. Dance is the best way I can express my feelings. Whether I'm sad, happy, excited or nervous... dancing is the best way to change one’s mood and it makes the music come to life."

Pegah

"I found my own style by improvising and learning dance pieces by other choreographers. My genre and improvisation styles are Urban & Hiphop and my goal is to improve my skills and become a professional choreographer. I've also received a scholarship from EurAsia, which is a dance school in Italy."

Kowsar

Kowsar is a self-taught dancer and she started shuffling 5 years ago. She learned from videos of professional dancers and as she got more comfortable with the movements she added her own unique style to it.

Maya

The performance aspect of a dance is the most important part of dancing for Maya. She loves the fun side of dancing but she always looks for something deeper. She dances her life experiences and wants to show every detail and aspect of human emotion and experiences in her performances.

Najme

My name is Najme. I started modern dance and I never stopped dancing ever since. Dance has always worked as a meditation for me, it’s a place that I escape to and find freedom.
I was introduced to dance through my acting career and I gradually felt the need to deepen my technique.

Rahil

I’m Rahil, I started dancing at the age of 15 in shiraz. It’s been 2 years that I'm intensely focused on dancing. After a while I took classes with other teachers world wide and also did self training. My training has been mostly based on ballet and contemporary and I do a lot of research on dance and music to further my knowledge.

Mojdeh

I received an invitation from my Russian ballet teacher to attend a master class with a soloist from the Bolshoi Ballet and soon after I attended a course for professional pointe work with a teacher in London. I’m proud to say that after all my hard work, I received a full scholarship from the Russian government this year to study dance in Kazan University.

"Dance styles like Afro give me so much energy and that’s why I love them. Therefore I choose dance styles that are energetic and full of dynamic. I feel that I can release my inner energy and emotions through these dance styles."

"I knew that pole dancing classes was not an option in Iran so I searched about the size and material of the pole and ordered a pole for myself and started practicing on my own and with online videos and classes. After a year a year I went to Thailand and did serious pole training and now it's been 6 months that I have left Iran and I'm currently residing in Dubai, starting a new life and dancing in one of the studios that I've always dreamt of."
